Audi's first ever SUV – the Q7 – is to be factory fitted with Continental tyres.

After comprehensive tests, Audi opted for three tyre lines made by Germany's leading tyre manufacturer. Continental will be supplying summer and cold weather tyres for the vehicles in five sizes and dimensions ranging from 18" to 20".

Audi's new SUV, which has a top speed of 248 km/h (155 mph) and a maximum power output of 350 hp (257 kW), will be fitted with Continental's high-performance ContiCrossContact UHP tyre. This high-tech tyre is the ideal solution for transmitting the Q7's dynamic forces to the road. Versions of the Q7 for the market will come with rugged Conti4x4Contact tyres, which are also suitable for light off-road driving.

Audi will also be recommending the Conti4x4WinterContact for the Q7, as this tyre ensures extra safety on all-wheel-drive vehicles during cold winter months. This tyre is available from Continental as an 18" option, approved for speeds up to 210 km/h (131 mph).
