Phase 2 Regroove

Regrooving is a well-established and proven method of extending the life of a new tyre, which when carried out correctly is an effective way of minimising operating costs, without implicating casing integrity.

Regrooving is simply the process of cutting new grooves in a tyre, following the original tread pattern, in order to extend tyre life. A tyre regrooved with 3mm tread will actually deliver better mileage performance and fuel efficiency than a new tyre - a cost per kilometre reduction of 10%.

Continental heavy service tyres are designed to facilitate regrooving and deliver up to 30% increase in tyre life, whilst significantly improving grip in wet weather.
